LWV-Johnston Wins Grant to Register New Voters

The League of Women Voters of Johnston County (LWV-Johnston) recently received a $500 grant to increase voter registration among youth in Johnston County. The LWV-Johnston will be conducting registration drives in various schools and other venues in the spring of 2018.

"We are delighted to receive our first grant to help increase youth voter registration in our county," says Cheryl Keeton, President of the LWV-Johnston. "The League of Women Voters is committed to increasing voter registration and assisting voters through education efforts and public policy advocacy. We welcome all who are interested in learning more about us, volunteering or becoming members of our League."
